Last Call for Green Beer

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!

Don't worry, there is no shortage of icky green beer available today, nor is there a pending ban on putting unnecessary dye in already perfectly fine food and drinks. I'm looking at YOU Pintrest.

I'm not planning a revolt, just hoping that one or two or all of you will opt instead for something delicious that comes by its green colour honestly, like this lovely cocktail.

It also has the secondary benefit of being a tropical fantasy that serves as an escape from this never, ever, ever ending winter. I'm not usually a hater, but being trapped inside with a toddler for 3 months has shown me the error of my ways.

The Missionary's Downfall is a TF favourite. If you've ever attended one of our Tiki classes, it's likely that you've had this drink before. It works very well for a small crowd as it can easily be made in batches. You're probably a "normal" person with a "real job" so you should use your Vitamix or blender. Trev had our smoothie machine at a tasting so I used the Baby Bullet that Nana bought for us, I'm sure she's proud.

Missionary's Downfall

1 oz light Puerto Rico rum
1 oz dark Barbados rum
1/2 oz peach liqueur
1 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and warm water, cooled)
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/4 c mint leaves, packed, plus sprig for garnish
1/4 c frozen pineapple chunks (approx. 6, 1" pieces)
2 ice cubes

Method
Place all ingredients in a Baby Bullet blender, buzz just until smooth, pour into a coupette, garnish with fresh sprig of mint

* it is always important to measure and to not add too much ice to this drink, lest it go the way of a bad poolside slushie
